just had chip put in 500 ks ago today engine light came on and lost power turned motor off and reset but came back on repeat the hole way home feels like not enought fuel is chip fryed or faulty had work done at the 4wd workshop dont realy want 2 drive it the 20km back incase it pops oh yer its a 05 str and has never let me down before bit miffed any a clues! not the first post i wanted lol!

Disconnect the chip until you find out whats wrong.

Id say the engine has gone into limp mode.

As Dave said, Disconnect the chip then see what happens, it could be something else causing limp mode.

welcome to the forum mate.Like the others said but take it to a mechanic and see what code is coming up.It could be any number of sensors causeing it to go into limp mode.

thanks guys did what u said and it turned out 2 be a bad connection and was easily fixed thanks 4 the good advice
