Had some member input helping me diagnose my D22 issues. I am very much appreciative! I'm going to investigate the turbo as suggested by Old Tony. Anyway - if the turbo turns a blank - the nav could be on the brink of a rebuild. I was just browsing ebay and found a company called Mag Engines - I searched the forum but didn't find anything. I have an 06 D22 and I know the D22 has the ZD30DDT - but this ebay auction mentions this ZD30DDTi short block will fit an 99-04 navara. I read that the ZD30DDT and ZD30DDTi are quite different - is this just the intercooler, turbo, ecu etc? Or are the internals compatible - i.e. can you interchange the internals between the two? I cannot find a definitive answer - or maybe I have over looked it haha. I hope its not a dumb question!
