weird paint

just posting on behalf. a person over here has a new D23 with some odd looking paint under the bonnet.
anyone seen similar before ?

It's a common thing on most new Nissan's these days, they have stopped painting engine bays etc the same colour as the rest of the car, our Nissan is the same.

seams strange. mines fully painted.
i wonder if different models are done at different factories.

Yes could be different factories one of ours is painted and other one not.

One built in UK 2013 the other in Japan 2003
