Hey guys, just wondering if anyone knows if theres an adapter plug/port for a tx3600. ive just purchased a gme AE4018k1 anntener and the lead it came with doesnt fit the back of my uhf unit. there both gme brands so im not sure why this would be..am i missing anything? any ideas??

From memory the Tx3600 has a BNC type antenna socket and the AE4018k1 has a PL259 plug so you'll either have to replace the plug on the antenna lead with a BNC plug or get a BNC to SO239 adaptor or a patch lead.

This is a patch lead -:
SO239 to BNC Male Cable

This is the adaptor -:
UHF Female Jack (SO-239) to BNC Male Plug Adapter - TechCables.com

Not sure who carries them locally but you can get the adaptors on ebay from overseas sellers.

We used to get ours from Jaycar, we've got a collection of BNC to just about anything floating around, had them since before this internet thing was fashionable and back then we used to rely on either Jaycar or Altronics so if you want local instead of ebay try either of those.

got everything sorted today, got the plug from a gme store. ran lead and arial too. what a pain. had some great fun getting it in to the unit but all came together neatly.one more thing crossed off the list of add ons.
