tyres sizes ?

i have 265/75r16, can you tell me if i'm right 265 means diameter, 75r? 16 means rim size.

i am buying new springs 2 inch higher was wantinting to get a set of 285's but want 2 inch taller how do i calculate that out in the numbers.

can get 285's but same size and all terrain like mine 16 inch rims. what does the higher rim size do like on 17 inch.

75 = profile (i.e. 75% of 265 (x2 when calculating dia))
r = radial
16= rim dia (in inches)

cheers mate with my 2 inch lift will i be able to get a 2 inch higher tire ,get that diff up higher.

excellent link thanks mate thinking of going 285's instead of my 265/75r16.

i have an basic rx, not much mod cons just the bogan one like myself thai built got 2 inch lift taking off my spacers and get new coils larger size to make same size as the spacer.

will this just make it the same as the 2 inch lift i had with the spacer i put on is it better this way.

can i put 33's on without rubbing just wondering for later on.
