trouble starting

Hi Guys, Just new here I am having trouble with my 02 STR 3.0 ltr it wont start unless it is towed after that it is fine until it is turned off and left for a few hours then it has to be towed again, any ideas what i can check please.

Hi neville, I'm guessing your battery is ok?? If yes possibly your starter motor is on it's way out. Without a little more info it's kinda hard to say.

Is the starter motor turning over,if so slow or fast.If not check your battery and if that is ok the starter is cactus.When it is running check the battery with a volt meter to see if the alternator is working.It should be around 14 to be charging properly,and if this doesn't work park it on a hill.lol

Without having more info I'd be guessing either a battery that has major cell damage preventing it from delivering enough starting current, a starter motor that is nearly dead or solenoid contacts that have a lot of burning on them.
