timing chain

Hi have been told by the local Nissan dealer that I need a new timing chain installed , they quoted me $3000 to do this just wondering if this sounds right or has someone had it done for a better price l:m on the outer northside of Brisbane thanks for you help peter

Contact Paul at yd25.comau in Brisbane near the airport. He does dual row chains and is a great guy to deal with. $3k for a standard replacement sounds high.

Had the timing chain in my D40 done a couple of weeks ago. Twin row chain upgrade. Cost $2870. Mechanic in Orange NSW. $300o for genuine replacement seems over priced.
