I have a 07 d40 with 130,000 ks. just snapped timing chain. $5000 later I'm very unimpressed and wondering if any one has had any luck with making a claim against Nissan?
I bought 2nd hand from a Nissan dealer in 2010 just out of warranty 60,00ks on it .generally don't care much for Nissan service and have used my own mechanic, but thought it wise to get Nissan to do major service at 100,00 ks. Has been a good truck, which I have looked after and had no other problems. But $5000 to fix a damaged engine due to a non serviceable item braking is a bit much to let slide. Any info or suggestions would be much appreciated.
