Just a general shout out to regular contributors to the forum, Old.Tony in particular.
I've learned a bit here about the first diesel, and first turbo car I've owned and twice now searching the forum has not only saved me money, but saved me a whole lot of hassle.
First time it was all the reading about EGR's and wouldn't you know it, within a week mine blew apart and I diagnosed it from the driver seat before I even got time to pull over. I knew about blanking from the forum and $150 the next morning had me running again, and better than ever.
This week I noticed the ute wasn't boosting at all, with a bit of searching I found heaps of tips on what could cause it (boost control valve) and with a little prodding and tinkering she's all good to go again.
Also found links and detail on ECU reset which I duly did and can say she's running better than ever with the only cost being a couple of beers to ponder with.
Thanks chaps, greatly appreciate all the time and effort spent sharing knowledge here.
Scott
