Hello, i'm Paco from Valencia, Spain. I have a nissan Terrano 2.7td of 1992, i have convert to automatic gearbox, and lifted with 2" body lift, 4" trailmaster suspension, 5" rear coil springs, and 285/75R16 bfg MT tires, with lockright rear, and front lsd. I change the r180 front differential for a r200 to mount 5,14 gears. I have installed a intercooler, snorkel and twister filter. But, i need more power, and i thinking in mount a qd32turbo Eti convert to mechanical pump. what do you thinks about thin change?.

Grettings.

My Car, i hope that you like it

Welcome mate.

Well set up Terrano.

I am not 100% sure on the QD32ETI EFI gear bolting on but looking forward to the conversion.

Keep us informed.

^ what he said....well the first line anyway, I usually stop reading after his first line

Awesome Terrano mate. The QD32ETi is a good swap, you'll need a gearbox to go with it and the ECU.

Thank you for your answers, about the conversion, at the moment i'm searching, if is better modified the qd32t eti to mechanical pump, or install directly a turbo with intercooler in the qd32 atmosferic, what do you think about this modification?. About the gearbox, i have seeing in Russia the installation the qd32eti in the original td27 gearbox, my actual gearbox is the automatic Re4r01a, i think that is the same that the navara, is possible?.Thank you again.

Headache.

Sounds better to me! I don't know what your road authority is like in Spain with emissions, running the mechanical pump tuned to run with a turbo will produce a little black smoke at low revs (no boost), nothing to write home about though. You could try to source a boost compensator ("aneroid") for the pump, this will clear up the smoke.

Manual or automatic? The manual gearbox from a TD27 would be a pile of metal filings with a turbo'd QD32 in front of it - they fail regularly just with the TD27, if they're in a pickup that does any work. Anyway, the bellhousing pattern is different and the FS5R30A gearbox fitted to the QD32 is superior.

Same as Navara, fitted to the TD27T, not sure if it's the same one fitted to the QD32/QD32ETi. The RE401A may well be able to handle the output; Google "nissan re401a" and read what the performance Z-car guys say, they're good at destruction-testing gearboxes. The mating pattern is still going to be different though so you'll need a bellhousing.

Thank you for your help, i'm not sure if finally will can a good qd32 turbo eti, my other option if search a qd32 atmosferic and install a turbo kit. About the emissions, nothing problem, i think. Because i can modified the injection for less emissions. But, at the moment, i need find a workshop manual because is very rare this engine in Europe.

Mate in the D22 section there is a service manual for all the D22 motors and the QD32 is in it.

Hello again, and thatnk oyu for your help, and answer. Searching in internet, i have found the nissan fast cd of japan cars, and i see that more parts of the qd32t eti, are the same that td27ti. I think that the conversion will be posible.
