Hi Guys,
Just wondering if anyone can make sense of this.
the TD27 in my D21 is still running like clockwork but has recently developed a noise which I though was just a leak in the exhaust manifold gasket,
its only 1 cylinder, doing it from what I could tell and it disappeared when the engine warmed up or revs got over 1500ish.
Did a bit of probing this evening and found it was coming from the intake side of the block so I pulled the air filter off and ran the engine and can see it appears to be coming from the base of the front injector.
although that looks like a wet oily build up around the injector its actually dry and solidified and been there for a few years.
Do the injectors have seals around the base or do they just screw in?
hopeing its not a screwed thread on the block or injector
Cheers Joel
