Tailgate easy down

Has any one fitted an easy down tailgate helper, I've bought one off Ebay but its totally useless according to the instruction the Strut would be lower than the bottom of the tailgate and its impossible to access the inside of the tailgate to fix the nut ?

Yea i fitted the Grunt brand easy open/close strut kit from ebay

The plates and fitting gear was ok, but I think the struts themselves must just be chinese cheapies because they didnt stay gassed up for very long

Mine work OK, cant remember the brand but got them from someone in Aus. O Navara D40.

I think ARB make a easy down kit which I presume is of better quality than ebay no brands.

I've got an ebay cheapy but haven't installed it because it requires drilling as my D40 doesn't have the hole to begin with.
