Steering Rattle

My Nav's steering keeps making a rattling noise when i am offroad is this normal.

What does it sound like? Is it in the cab or from the front end and external?
by offroad do you mean fast or slow speed?

Sound comes from inside the cab when going slow across rutted up flat sections, have not really noticed it when going fast or when going up/down hills as it is the least of my worries, The rattling it self sounds like the steering column is loose, the steering wheel rattles as well when this is happening.

Sounds like the same problem mine had, it's the center of the steering wheel, horn/airbag cover. The spring mechanism isn't strong enough, causing it to rattle. Your friendly Nissan rep will deny there's a problem.

So you have a problem with the steering rattle so did you try to fix the bolts tightly if not try that or you can just show this to a nearby mechanic he will get this fixed as it wont cost you much .
