Hi I have a navara with a electric speedo the plug joining the sender unit to the wireing harness was pulled apart I reconected the wires but no go the 4wd warning light came on the dash as well thanks for any hints

Sounds to me like the ABS sensors - one might be damaged. The new cars take the aggregate reading from the ABS sensors and works out the speed from that. It also uses this information to judge whether or not you can use 4WD, and whether TCS needs to be engaged etc.

Might help if you tell us what model and series you have. This will depend on what the problem may be...
