Only joined the forum the other day as a possible purchase was becoming more than an itch. This is my first post so please be gentle

Organised price & spoke to the dealer yesterday & agreed to drop into the today to sign up. Had done enough research to know about timing chain, brake & clutch problems & had dismissed these as as either not/no longer relevant or not relevant to me. Last night, big mistake, surfed the net & came across "Complaints Corner". Navaras certainly feature don't they? Not much sleep last night.

Anyway overcame apprehension & signed up.

The intension was to replace wifies NP Pajero with a vehicle sporting a greater towing capacity. She ended up not wanting a ute but I scored & got a ute out of the exercise. :cheers!:

We will still use the Navara for towing our 21' van & if it ends up not suitable or unreliable, we still have the Pajero to tow & can use the Navara as a trade when we replace the Pajero. In that case I will end up with an ageing Pajero.

My thoughts are a bit muddled after a stressful day, most of which was spent on the net trying to work out whether to get the Nissan bullbar & towbar but I will post that question elsewhere.

Bugger, I have to sell my Lada Niva now!

Welcome to the forums Joe, I see you've already got yourself a few threads happening, well done!

Picked up the D40 today. Not sure if I could be any happier. All this worry for nothing.

I have heard it said (read it actually) that once they have the sale, the salesman will try to get rid of you as soon as possible. This couldn't have been further from the truth for this bloke. He talked about everything before he even started on showing me all the stuff to do with the car. There was no crap, no smooth talking. It was hard to get away. He is a local in a country dealership so maybe this makes a difference.

Anyway very impressed with the vehicle & the dealer (who has a very good reputation around town). If this continues I'm gunna get the Nissan emblem emblazed on my ar$3 as a tattoo.

Not really gunna get a tattoo.

Don't tell everyone about good treatment from a Nissan dealer they will all be bringing their utes to your local dealer
