I guess after one gets knocked back by Nissan for a claim which I think is a fault of manufacture we go to a forum to see if anyone else has the same problem.
My problem is a rust line appearing along the seams of the roof on my dual cab. a small area is also showing rust blowing out from under the paintwork near the fron windscreen. has anyone else got the same problem?
I believe it has started along the cut where the roofline joins the the chanel.
has any had succes with Nissan with a similar problem. Their cop out is it's out of warranty. My opinion is that this is not a wear part and should last at least 10 yrs. Photo's attached.

There are a few of us that have had that same problem so Nissan does know there is an issue. Will they admit it ?Not a chance.
What you have to do is prove that the paintwork is not fit for purpose. Consumer Affairs etc will help you out.
However it wont be a quick fix.
Try a search on paint issues and you should find the various threads

Have found the paint on the roof of my d40 to be wafer thin. Tiniest chip rusts in no time. I have had deep scratch on tub for years with no sign of rust at all. Roof got me that scared I tossed a Couplertec in it. Nissan shrugged it off as different depths of paint (????) and that was it. Keep the touchup close at hand I guess.
