Rev at start

Hey boys im not sure if this is a common rail thing but every time i start my ute turns on fine it revs past 1.1rpm then drops back to normal at bout 0.8 rpm is this normal

Mine does that. According to the ECU mine revs around the 750rpm mark once it's going.

Only happens when i start the car even if it warm

Sory i didnt answer your question propley i start the car it revs to 1.1 rpm then drops straght away doesnt hol at that rpm

Mine does the same but usually when its coming up for a service , within 1000 ks to go or so .
