Replacing Injectors - Manually Program ECU or not?

Hi guys,

I'm about to replace a set of injectors on my 09 D40.

I have come across conflicting info on whether or not the ECU has to be manually programmed with the individual codes for each injector or the ECU will learn itself from a simple reset.

Can anyone that has done this shed any light?

Also why is it that the injectors have different codes in the first place?

You need to have them programmed by Consult iii.
