Rear Differential removal

Hi everyone i have a D40 stx which has a noisey rear differential and wondering if anyone has had experience in removing the rear diff

Do you want to remove the whole housing or just the diff centre?

Yes , I've disassembled to remove the crown wheel but not the pinion. Pretty easy, did it with one arm in a plaster cast.
