Pyro gauge sensor

Hi, have 2006 3.0 td navara d22 and want to fit a pyro/egt gauge and curious where the best place to drill into to fit the sensor where I will get most accurate reading. Photos would be appreciated.

Your reading will be accurate no matter where you put it . it will be an accurate reading for that point .

Dump pipe mate not the most accurate but a safer option than drilling into the manifold and risking shavings going backwards.
