Hi all, just filled the thirsty f;;;ing Navara D40 ST 489kms for70.2 litres of deisel. Can anyone tell me how to get better economy, my wife and kids tell me I drive like a grandad (which I am). Carrying a fair amount of tools around 24/7 but this thing is just so not right after 3 years with an STR D22 gettting 10litres/100kms

Welcome Phantom, i'd start searching for D40 ECU reset. it's spoken of on many threads, shouldn't be too hard to find.

I average about 500 here & I though I was hard done by when my old POS ford ute gave me 620!!
I do mainly highway driving to and from work (80-90ks each way) and have put it down to being nearly new, not fully run in, auto etc etc.
Tsgood to see that I am not an orphan with regards to crap economy & for the record I rarely thrash mine, sit on a nice 95-100 most of the time and I fill up close to 3 times a week @ 133 a litre. Cousin has a new V8 toyota trayback and he is getting about the same so I dont feel so bad now!
