One way 10mm fuel valve

Has anyone fitted one of these one way valves to the fuel line?

What would be best for the job, anyone using any of the above methods.

When disconnecting the fuel line to change the fuel filter, it would stop the fuel flowing back into the tank.
I know you can pinch the line with clamps, but i would think that could damage the line if done to much..

G'day.

My thinking is if you put a directional control valve in on the supply side of the filter it will eventually get muck in it, stopping it from doing what you want. After the filter and you're off target.

there is one built into the filter head. i've had crap caught in that before.
i've fitted one way valve on fuel line before but that was in parallel to a lift pump.

only catch to fitting a one way valve is it may add a little bit of restriction. if you fit one, fit it down by the tank.

So what about my second suggestion of a manual tap.

Fitting it just before the fuel filter, so that when disconnecting the fuel line to change the fuel filter.
It would stop the fuel flowing back into the tank.

Making it harder to to prime the fuel filter.

Yeah I've fitted a ball valve (manual tap) just before the fuel filter, works and makes the priming process quicker because as you said, the fuel isn't draining back to tank, just make sure you get fittings that don't reduce bore diameter any more than any of the factory fittings on the filter head so you don't drop the fuel flow rate.

Looked at this E-bay one becauce it has a 12mm bore, and 10mm barbs.
What do you think, would this one restrict the flow???
