On Board Video Recorder

Have been tinkering with a new toy. The BlackVue 400G HD
It has its own GPS so with the BlackVue software you can follow your tracks etc .
Also has full HD 30fps video recorder

ACA did a report recently showing how this gear can work well in the event of an accident etc
Would also be damm good recording your trips in the scrub etc.
Still tweaking the unit and maybe might move it yet but so far am damm impressed with picture quality. No sound in this one so just hum or something

Quality looks good, I'll have to check out the quality I get with my mobile phone motorola atrix with 32gb card in it

The camera is mounted up behind the mirror so I actually cant see it
So far pretty impressive quality in 1080HD or can switch down to 720HD
On the factory 16G card it records 5 hours at 30fps in 1080HD or 10 hours at 720HD

The video from the Blackview shows impressive levels of detail but it does suffer from pronounced barrel distortion.

With a still shot that can be corrected in post processing, is software available to do this for video?

I hadnt really noticed . It gives enough detail so I was happy with that

Any idea how it goes at night? Do the on-coming headlights flair the image?
