hi guys i am new to the forum and have just bought a d40 2012 2.5 td what i would like to know is what is this oil catch can what does it do and what is this stuff about blocking EGR valve what does it do is it expensive to get it done

Search egr blank but it blocks the exhaust gas recirculation pipe. The blank stops exhaust gas being mixed in with clean air. Both have been covered on the forum with diy's
The small catch can on the forefront website will set you back around $120 with hoses and clamps and the such, very easy install after you know what's what and the blank you should be able to make yourself and install with very little effort
