Me to.

I'm also thinking about mounting location. There is a handy spot under the bonnet that would keep hose length short but that is a very hot area. I was wondering if mounting it somewhere behind the grill in the cooler air stream would be more beneficial i.e. better condensation of the oil that is in suspension. Or do you think the extra length of the hoses would have a detrimental effect on the catch can setup or engine.

Here you go guys

The provent 200 are meant to be a great unit and most of the guys ive seen with them have installed them behind the grille, i think mostly due to the size of the unit.

The other option i have seen is the super crap auto version which look the goods but need a little modification buy adding some steel wool and extending one of the internal pipes, BUT once that is done they work ok from what i have been told. I actually was given one but havent had a chance to install it on the new D40 yet.

My 20 cent contribution:

Ingredients:
  1. Small "pro vent" off ebay.
  2. 1 x exterior roller blind bracket cut down
  3. Drillbits
  4. 2 x 10mm bolts
  5. 2 x 13mm bolts with nyloc nuts.
Mounting position imperitive was to try and utilise pre existing body holes to mount it all up.

Measure once cut numerous times as I was rushing & this is what you end up with:

Bolt holes on passengers side inner guard

Bodgy Bracket & mounted to the inner guard:

Catch can mounted:

Factory look???

Just have to run the hose and put some clamps on it all. It's a tight squeeze and no hope of mounting the lge provent here but I didn't want it looking half arsed with hose running everywhere.

Looks good Dave, looks like it's been there from stock which is also good. I'll have to check out that back corner on mine see if I can make some room in there as the only real spot I could find was next to my headlight at the front.
