Noisey Rear

Hi Guys,

I have an '09 D40 dual cab with 2" lift kit and Raw shocks. Ever since the install it has had a 'honk' noise in the rear right. Its been back to the suspension guys a couple of times and they can't figure it out (or really care for that matter). Has anyone else had this issue? All of my joints that need grease are greased and the shock are clean.

P.S. - sounds sus I know 'noisey rear' and 'honk' but the cars on a good diet!

I'm assuming that the honking sound is happening in time with vertical movement of the rear of the vehicle.

If that's the case, try spraying some silicone lube between the leaves of your springs.

Thanks old Tony! Correct, it generally happens when turning right over semi bumpy road or over rough terrain.

It might yet be the shock absorber. If the shaft has a slight bend, or if the valve has debris on it or has come a little loose you could also get this sound.
