no drill DIY roof rack (basket) mounting ides ?

Thinking about mounting roof rack, however not very keen drilling the roof.
Any ideas how to mount that ? as DIY ?

Know there are sets as thule 750 with fit kit 1086 so may finally end up using it with my own rack design
but maybe someone knows something ?

Mine should be in October too, I think i'm in the ARB queue in 17th position, seems to be a few requested through them.

The ARB shop said they'll get it in before my November trip.

A wd21 I bought had no-drill roof racks, which reached around the tops of the door openings. They seemed relatively sturdy, but they rested on the roof on rubber sheets, which had a tendency to trap water and dust against the paint, making a great lapping paste for ruining the paint as the rack vibrated. So they're fine for short term specific use, but I wouldn't leave them on permanently. Plus the "hands" that reached around the doors ruined the door seal rubber where they grabbed.

ok then, I'm convinced no drill one is for short term use so its not for me ...
so where is the best place on the roof to drill and bolt it ?
