Nissan release

Does anyone have a pic or copy of the nissan release stipulating that 5-30w oil must be used in yd25s. Have a mate whos having warranty issues with nissan due to stuffed motor. All serviced by nissan but their reciepts show 15-40 has been used on every service. Nissan aus has been contacted i just think this will help his cause

Seems Nissan don't publicly release them here, only dealers get them. Their publicly released in the states thou, except they didn't get the yd25. Seems the yd25 isn't the only model with dodgy timing chains either.

5w30 c4 full syn for dpf
10w40 b3 semi syn for the rest.

So 5w30 c4 full synthetic for yd25 td?

If you have a Diesel particulate filter. 15w40 can be used if you don't

We just use full synthetic in all Yd motors now and blanking egrs, to many shitting the brick.

5w30 full synthetic 110ks never had a issue. Like old diesels you can use a d should use thick oil. These modern motors dont like it I heard. Its the thick oil that clogs up and breaks the donk... Am I on the right path

Yeah i use a 5-30 in mine 50k and no issues. Hes had ALOT of engine issues however. Think hes just got a lemon of a nav

So, umm, Nissan have just told us all Spanish built are to run full synthetic oil. No idea why but that's the service promise or what ever it is called now.
