Hi guys I'm trav,

I've recently bought a brand new d22, It has alloy bar and UHF installed.

Not looking to do anything crazy. I would just like a set up that will do well on the beach and a bit of bush 4x4 aswell,

Any hints or tips on what I should get done to the car?

My first suggestion would be to take a look through the garages and see what others have done to theirs. There are also threads here about people's experiences in various conditions (mud, sand etc) - they really make a good read, because they're first-hand accounts of what actually happened to someone, with discussion about how to avoid/prevent/improve things.

For sand, you'd want a good compressor, an EGR mod and maybe a chip to give you more power. For mud, a good set of mud tyres. A good suspension lift will help both scenarios.

With the D22, watch out for water ingress in the left guard. A properly-sealed snorkel will fix the issue. If there's no intercooler, get one!
