Hi guys my name is michael and I'm from Western Australia, I've been a patrol owner for a few years now and am making the move to a navara, I am wanting to buy within the next week and am wanting a car that will last and has minimal issues along the journey.
I'm looking at test driving a 2010 2.5cr str manual with 76,000 on the clock and if anyone could give me some valuable info on the car it would be much appreciated. Also anything that I should keep an eye out or when I take it for a drive.

Thanks very much, mick

hey buddy! welcome! got a link to the ad? I don't know to much about d22's (D40 Driver) but i guarantee you will fall in love!

No idea how to send a page mate, not too savvy on the ol IPhone,
It's a 2010 manual with 75,000km
Serviced every 10,000 by Nissan
Canopy, UHF, roof racks, bullbar, towbar and 3 inch exhaust
Asking price is 25,000 and the highest I can afford is 23,000 which he is happy to work with, is this price about right or still a bit much?
Mainly because of the extras and service history that it should still be worth some dough.
Cheers

welcome mate
the 2.5 str is a great ute
mine has caused no serious issues in the 3 yrs I have owned it
some common issues are
faulty body mounts, they rattle a bit
door strikers have had some issues with doors rattling, easy fix
the std suspension is utter crap, easy fix
some tailgate hinges show early surface rust
there are reports of timing chain rattle on cold mornings
mine does it occasionally, a quick rev brings the pressure up on guide and stops rattle
some reports of the std intercooler leaking on seams, mines ok so far
I would also suggest a turbo timer and 5k oil changes
all up for the price I think they give best bang for your buck
theres not a brand on the market that doesn't have some issues
