Mist coming from drivers side air con vent

Have this problem? of mist only coming from the driver's side air con vent, it does't come out the passenger side. It happens when I lower the temp and increase the speed of the fan. Mist comes out with a smell my wife reckons reminds her of maple syrup. The air is still cold and changes as you change temp, all the speeds of the fan work. Have changed the cabin filters, no difference. My car is the D40 ST 2013. Would like to know what is causing it, so I can tell the Dealer what to fix! Tks.
