Hey all,

My first time posting.

I live in Darwin and have recently purchased a 2012 STX550 whom my kids call "Tater" and I have to say.... It is **** hot! I rate it highly.

I will be leaving in a couple of days on a "Manventure" with a mate up to Cape York. We will be doing the tar thing until about Cairns due to a lack of time and modifications to the car. That should leave us about 7 days to get from Cairns to the Cape and back to Cairns.

Other than fishing, camping and drinking (because we have got that covered) does anyone have any cool suggestions for things to see & do.

I haven't been that far up either, but I've heard the roads around Normanton - even the sealed ones - are a nightmare, narrow with large drops to the shoulder.

Hey guys, now back (for a while now, just too lazy to write). Trip was AWESOME!
Went up the daintree from cairns, which was fantastic, stayed at cape tribulation. Definitely worth the stay, then on to Laura, stayed at the pub, then up to a station about half way to seisia. Met some very random people along the way. Fruit Bat falls was great for swimming. Seisia was good for fishing. U may want to take ur own booze as drinking up there u need a second morgage. All round a great trip. Thinking about getting a camper trailer and going back with the wife and kids. 3-4 weeks is defiantly not enough time from Darwin to do it properly.
