LED 1157 globes

I am looking at replacing my now tired old tail globes . What if anything has anyone found to be good better best when it comes to the 1157 globes. Are the SMD leds the go ?

Mate i replaced my front parkers and rear indicators with the Jaycar SMD led ones and i love em. Just a little bit pricey for one bulb, And the rear indicator lenses are clear so they dont have that yellow look when turned off. Nice and bright all round, I'll see if i can take some pics.

With these led lights do you get the fast blinker flash?

Damm those suckers are exxy from Jaycar.
The 1157 is the brake light globe and yes if you use the 1156 globe in an indicator then you will get the fast flash as the flash rate is detirmined by the current drawn by the globes

They flash the same for me.

Damm you must have an electronic flasher can installed then.
I havent actually tracked down the flasher in a D40 but I thi9nk its in the dash cluster itself.

I havent done anything other than push em in, But saying that its only the back yellows done.

well at the end of the day most likely all the led lights wecan buy in this country are made in China anyway so I figured might as well buy direct from HK lol

Aussie, i have "A" grade SMD 1157(well all globe types) in stock, have white and red in 1157 and amber and white in 1156

They all look the same, apart from one is a dual pin/dual power output(1157)
