We used to use fish oil because it works, but I haven't had rust in a car for the last 10 years.

Down this way they salt the roads over winter and it is a killer for cars

Rust prevention involves a number of things.

1 - ERPS kit
2 - Lanotec through the chassis and wherever you can stick the nozzle from the can
3 - underbody seal on all exposed surfaces
4 - regular under body washing - generally a quick wash if it has been a heavy salt day and then a weekly wash with truckwash and a karcher to wash off underneath
5 - and for winter I take the spare out from underneath and throw it in the tray. The wheel holds the salty water and rusts away.

It is the combination of all these that does the job. Each on their own is not enough.

When I use to do my cars I did a mix of fish oil, tectnol for inside the doors pillars & sills inside the guards etc... when I did underneath I added a bit of chassis black or body deadener I did it in the cooler month so it would stop running making a mess and it got a bit of a skin on it after a week or so .
