howto-rear main seal

Howdy all, I'm wanting to do the zd30's rear main seal and was wondering if anyone has done it and how they dealt with the "sump"!
Do you have to remove it- and can you with "motor in"?
Do they use a seal or a gasket adhesive?
Any help would be appreciated , cheers Vic

The hardest bit is jacking the gearbox and moving it back. It is a two man job and best done on a hoist. If you do it yourself have a few small crowbars and 2 jacks to move the box. It is not an easy job.

all good so far- dropped gearbox, diff and idler arm bracket! removed sump then rear main - I think you could do it with out dropping the sump but Personally I think it's the dodgy way to go about things just waiting for the fly wheel grind now..
