How's this for battery life!

Well this afternoon the battery in my 2006 D22 finally died. I had noticed it getting a little bit sluggish on the starts over the last few days.

I was trying to recall if I had ever replaced a battery in it and couldn't recall doing so. Checked my trusty service spread sheet and nothing there.

Pulled it out this afternoon and it is the original Shin-Kobe Electric Machinery Co Ltd that's been in there since new. Battery manufacture date was 23/10/06.

Three weeks short of nine years. I'd like to buy another one!

That is a Hell of a good run mate.. problem might be finding one made the same.
You'd probably be happy with half that time

I got 8 years out of a champion battery in my falcon, replaced last yr.

Also just replaced a century in the d22, was already in the car when i bought it almost 6 yrs ago, not sure how long it had been in there.

So ive had a pretty good run i reckon.

2006 must of been a good year for batteries lol.

I replaced the original cranking battery from my 06 nav just last year, it was still going strong. I just figured I would change it when it suited me and not when it wanted to die

My 05 battery lasted till 2012.
