Just thought i would post a quick intro.

Currently have hilux but looking at getting a D40 dual cab Navara, so will be using here to get as much info as possible on the vehicle.

Looking at turing into the perfect touring rig for the family.....

You'll find the D40 has more cabin space than the D22 - specifically it's 175mm longer in the rear part of the cabin. It's also more comfortable on long hauls with coil suspension up front and nicer seats as well. The D40 also comes as an auto - much, MUCH better for towing.

The downside is that the D40 costs more than the D22. If you're looking to do some towing and have the coin to spend, the new V6 diesel STX-550 is definitely worth a look - its base price is >$60,000, putting it in the luxury car bracket.

I've had mine since late Oct 2009 and it had it's 60,000km service done last week. I am most impressed with the vehicle, definitely happy with the dealer that I purchased it from in Newcastle.
