How much weight does adding a canopy add?

Im looking at getting constant load rear springs for my d22 and Im wondering how much canopies etc weigh, Ive got an arb canopy and arb steel roof rack plus 2 extra batteries in the tub. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.
 
Canopies all weigh different weights, I know my canopy was 180kg shipped weight (including packaging) and mine is alot stronger in construction and the windows and mechanisms are all heaps stronger than the old mans ARB, but as to the difference I wouldn't even want to guess.

By the time you add the roof bars and the approx 100kgs they can carry and a few things in the tub you could be looking about 300kgs easy, but it all depends what you cart on the day you decide to pack up and head bush.

It might be worth loading the ute with everything you'd want in it and finding a public weigh bridge and getting an exact figure if you need that figure to judge your new suspension or springs on, that way you know for sure

180kg, even allowing for packaging is a lot. I know it takes 2 of us to lift the ARB one, guess its around 60-70kgs.

Sidetracking for just a moment, I weighed my D22 alloy with Pirelli tyre on it on the weekend, 29KG!!. Poor ol suspension sure has a lot of work to do.
 
i went from 2060 kg std to 2380 with canopy,drawers,fridge,racks and 60ltr water
efs elite from zordo works well 4 me
 
yup, my truck weighs 2460kg at last weigh in, and that's empty apart from with a second battery in the tub, and the tool box (~65kg together) plus the canopy with the internal rack system (ARB), a set of Bolsys sliders, a nissan steel bar, half a tank of fuel and myself.

it don't take much to quickly reach or get over the RGVM...

that gives me 500kg to get the fridge, passengers, water, extra fuel, spares, food etc in for a tip away... not an easy task. for example: allow 100kg for another passenger, another 20kg for all their crap, 20kg for all my crap, 80kg for water, another 120kg for fuel, 25kg for (empty) fridge, 30kg for a second spare wheel. 20kg for 2 swags, that leaves me with...around 80kg for food and incidentals.

and quite suddenly i'm at my RGVM.

another thing to add into the equation is that when i eventually add in a long range fuel tank, that's gonna weigh more and hold more as well. so there's some extra weight to think about. then there's the draws/shelves, air compressor...etc, etc. it all adds up.
