Hi I have a navara stx 550 with the new 3 litre V6.
I have a problem that my local dealer just can't seem to find, I can be either slowing down for a give way sign, stopped at lights or stop sign. Go to take foot off brake to apply throttle to move away only to find nothing happens the vehicle will move away at idle speed and so will now have entered the intersection. But there is no throttle almost straight away engine management light comes on. Have to then stop vehicle which is now part way out into the intersection. turn vehicle off in park etc and restart. vehicle is now in limp home and I can drive to local deal we are up to ten times now. Its such a neat vehicle I just wish I could find out why this is happening?

if there is an engine light then it will have stored codes. get the codes read and that should point you in the right direction.

+1 on the codes. Haven't heard of this with the V6 before, but the 4cyl diesels will do this for a MAFS failure, or suction control valve (fuel pump).
