Got the dreaded timing chain rattle on my 1974 commer camper van so decided to replace the chain and tensioner.

Took under two hours and total cost including oil change....12 pounds sterling.

Did the same on the nav
Took five weeks and cost just under 5k nz doller...

Ill leave the math up to you!
