halfway through blocking EGR

got a d22 yd25 and blocked one side of EGR (the side closet to the battery) but other plate different shape what will happen if only one side blocked

Nothing only need one side blocked ,

Nothing will happen, job done. It works just like a garden hose - you can either turn off the tap, or turn off the nozzle.
