Welcome aboard!

If it's an auto, put it in Drive with the overdrive engaged (dash light NOT illuminated) then take it out to a 100km/h or higher zone. Accelerate to 70km/h however you like then very gently accelerate from 70km/h to 90km/h. Somewhere between 75-80km/h there should be a smooth transition and a noticeable RPM drop as the torque converter clutch engages. If it's rough to engage or causes really noticeable vibration, hit the overdrive button - if the vibration goes away, the torque converter needs replacing.

If it's a manual, it should have a solid mass flywheel fitted. If it doesn't, don't tow anything of any significant weight and don't hammer the car to get moving - the dual mass flywheels are not heat-tolerant.

Apart from that, they're a pretty good car - enjoy!
