Good day to all Navara owners out there - Damo from Perth here joining in the action after taking delivery of my new D40 ST Dual Cab TD today. Even bigger from the discount I received - amazing when you push for a deal through the right channels.

All happy so far except the dealer gave me rubber floor mats instead of carpet ones - I'll get past that...

And I found out today about no child safety restraint clips in the back, so a costly mod coming up that I have read all about.

So here's some opening questions for the forum,

- Who makes D40 Dash Mats and where can I find them? They are not a Nissan Genuine item.
- What's the best non Nissan Roof bars for carrying Kayaks and Bikes that fit well and don't do damage
- Has anyone fitted a 12v outlet in the tub for an Engel or portable 12v light. Where best to locate it and how to wire it in.

OK, all the best as we recover to too many fruit mince pies and a lashing by the Poms in the cricket.

Welcome Damon enjoy your reading there is lots here.

If you don't mind some DIY check out one http://www.navara.asia/d22-accessories/1300-child-restraints-d22-4.html#post70197 (same post is also in the "bargain" thread), not sure if they fit the D40 but the are the first ones I've seen on ebay.

Who makes dashmats? Just about anyone, autobarn and SCA sell them and there is a large number of people selling them on ebay, quality appears to be similar no matter where you get them from and the price is about $30 usually.

Roof bars, I have no idea but someone else surely will.

12V outlet, most of us use a dual battery set up, there is heaps of information hear about dual batteries in both 22's and 40's and depending what theories you subscribe to as to whether you need to go a basic set up or less than basic set up with inverters etc. There is no right or wrong just different theories but a dual battery is probably better than just running a 12v outlet because it gives you more options and the safety of not using your main battery to run things. Check out any of the dual battery threads there is a number of them.
