Gidday all, I'm a newbie and I have been given the green light to modify the ol stockie 02 DX D22. So I'll try not to annoy all of you too much before the $'s run out. The plan is to start with snokel, 2 3/4 mandrel exhaust, wheels and good side steps. I have a option to buy a set of STR alloys for a decent price. Would these be ok for mild off road work or should I get steel rims ?

I use alloys for off road work with no problems. Steel rims add extra weight, so it's something to think about

Hi mate, Lot,s a people on here run factory str alloys, I believe most people only change rims for looks

My alloys are still good.

The main bonus of steel rims is they can be welded up to get you out of trouble in the middle of no where.
