Got the wobbles

Just wondering if someone can help me please?I've got a fair bit of freeplay in my steering side to side and I was told that It's in my rock rod or idler arm.I already have a snake idler bracket and heavy duty tie rods.does anyone know if by changeing one of these parts to heavy duty would it reduce the play or which part it could be causing the problem cheers

What model Nav do you have.It could be your idler arm or pitman arm on the box.It could also be that you steering box needs adjusting.

Thanks for replying it's d22 zd30. What I've noticed is when the car is on the hoist there's up and down play when you move the wheel in the knuckle between the idler arm and rock rod

You will have to replace your caster rod rod then.The play in the ball joint will be giving you the slack

The castor rod goes from idler arm to steering arm across one side to the other is that right

Thanks for the advice ,I've now changed to heavy duty rock rod and heavy duty idler arm no difference at all how frustrating. Not sure how many more options there are.wondering if anyone has anymore ideas thanks

Hi all can anyone help me I keep flogging out the bush in my rock rod were it connects to the steering idler arm just wondering if it's caused from dodgy tie rod ends becoming very frustrating can feel every little bump and twitch through steering wheel not nice to drive at all cheers d22
