Hey everyone,
Bit rude not to start here first up, but at least I got here!
After driving mate's Cruisers and Patrols on trips away and when they were otherwise incapacitated, I was bitten by the 4wd diesel bug.
I bought a GQ 4.2L coil cab chassis with DTS turbo, straight thru 3", big lift, 35s and the lot really... loved it, did little off-road but just loved the fact a) I'd never again say I can't go there and b) I never got stuck anywhere (be it terrain or traffic!). Also loved the truck sound and diesel smell.
Mrs said time to get something more appropriate to family life with 2.5 kidlets, so sold her and commenced my hunt.
Having a D22 STR as a work truck a few years back I reckoned that was the next best thing. Eventually found the one for me (see Garage). Still miss "the big red truck" as the kids called it, but stoked with the Nav.
Already had some good advice and found some really good info on the forum.
Cheers
