flashing light car with a key in

hi just brought a 2005 navara and have noticed a light flashing (car with a key) when i turn ignition off it the flashing at a faster rate once locked, ive tried to look this up but im getting 2 different answers.....

1. its to remind me i have door or window open....have checked over and over and cant find anything ive left,

2. its normal and its just the NATS light for alarm?

We don't have this on the 2005 navaras in Oz but the guys with newer models probably have it. I'd guess its just to let you know the NATS is working.

Welcome to the forum - yes it's the NATS system. Nothing to worry about. Door open would be signalled by interior lights, puddle lights, door indicator in dash and if your headlights are on, it'll beep at you.
