Ill start with my 120cm + Barra caught up in the far north :)

Haha thanks mate. I shouldn't of ever caught that fish, so much stuff went wrong just trying to get there, and then Bam! Have dropped another 2 that size, including one that stripped all the internals out of my balsa lure, a ripped it to pieces.

I do a fair bit of spearfishing in Victoria, here's just a couple of the many snaps, these are just off my phone so the quality may not be awesome.

1. four nice crays pulled just before christmas, the biggest was about 3.8Kg, not bad when the market price was around $80 per Kg!

2. A great day diving the otways, sweep, trumpeter, abalone, squid and my First crayfish, he went 2.7Kg from memory... just walking along the bottom, all I had to do was swim down and grab him!

3. a 'stargazer' almost impossible to spot so that was the first and last one of them I'll ever spear, google them to see pics of them hiding in the sand. I did eat him so he wasn't wasted.

4. the spoils of night diving in Port Phillip Bay!! flathead, squid, flounder, snook, whiting and a pinkie between 2 of us.. the freezer was full for months!

hope you guys enjoy the pics!

I caught a stargazer once. It was the weirdest looking thing ive ever seen. Felt like a big sponge with googly eyes!

Well sorry for posting in the wrong section - Mods can you please move this for me?

For someone that doesnt do a great deal of fishing, ive been pretty lucky. Here is a 12kg red emperor that i caught while sailing the seven seas.

Haha i think i was looking for a thread called fishing pics. Dont worry about be, im partially retarded. Here is the biggest bug i caught next to the smallest cray... Dont worry the cray went back over the side. Before you can call the bug a slipper, i can assure you it isnt. Just a massive Balmain.

Haha, it definately isn't the beer of choice in QLD, but tastes a shitload better than that watered down poor excuse for a beer they call XXXX gold.

and for VB lovers of old......CUB have gone back to the original flavour/alchohol content

Well, for mine, a real fish is a pan size pinky or bream or dusky and who could forget the lovely KG whiting..mmmmmmmmm

who could forget the lovely KG whiting..mmmmmmmmm

Port Albert just near the Sunday Island jetty, mid years of the 90's we used to hunt KG's and it was nothing for us to come home with 50+ a trip always biting on 'one arms' we'd pumped from near the entrance. Two trips a season and we had enough fish to feed 4 families for months.

you need 50 of those suckers for a feed. Pity whiting don't come in this size -

Wish my gut still looked like that haha.

If fishing is only good when the fish are big then there is something missing.
