Fan into Engle fridge

Hi Guy's
Have an older engle 40l fridge and have heard of people fitting a computer style fan inside the comressor area to remove extra heat ,thus making compressor work more efficiently and having to run less and use less battery.I know fans help because have stuck electric fan against engle on hot day and temp just drops off .Found on google instructions for similar idea but wondered if any one has ever fitted one .Also I planned to power off compressor power supply(I think they are 12 v commpressor) thus fan would only cycle when compressor does .Any ideas

My old fella mounted two in his fridge.
Freak us kids out when they kicked in from time to time haha they were quite loud.

Mount two. One to blow and the other to suck air through the fins.
