im looking at buying a 4x4 in qld that has been mod plated and engineered. i was wondering because i live in vic do i have to get it re-engineered in vic to register it here?
i dont know Dion.My F150 was mod plated in QLD for a winsor to cleavlen swap and didnt need reengineering but like you said it depends what has been done to it.

QLD is funny. Minor things that don't need any special attention here (swapping a VG33E for a ZD30, for instance) require a mod plate there. Adding child restraints requires a mod plate there too. Changing seats (to commodore seats for instance) only requires a mod plate there but here it requires full engineering. So it really depends. If it's got a SR20DET or a Commo motor or something in it, it's going to require engineering here.
